Log In: Authorization Access Levels
Three levels are provided
to prevent unauthorized access to array configuration:
Guest: View Only, access to the Array Information
category; can log in to check array status and event messages
Maintainer: access to the Array Information
and Maintenance categories; allowed to perform array maintenance
opertions
Super-user: access to all configuration categories including
Array Information, Maintenance, and Configuration;
all configuration options, e.g, to create or delete an existing array
Except for “Guest,” to access an array using the authorization of
the other two protection levels,
Super user (root) and Maintainer, requires a password. Guest users can monitor
array status and view event messages. A User can perform maintenance jobs onto
configured arrays, and an Administrator has full access rights to create, modify,
or delete array configurations.
RAIDWatch comes with "root" as the password for the Super user. After
gaining control, set a password to provide security to the managed disk arrays.
