System Event Log List

RAIDWatch's bottom window provides access to two viewpanels: Event Log List and Configuration List. The bottom window displays the Event LogList viewpanel as default.

Event Log List
The event log list displays the contents of a chronological log of all the events that occur during this session. System events can be categorized as follows:

* Subsystem component events (such as a power supply unit, cooling module, or drive failure)
* Administrative activities (configuring a logical drive, or performing Media Scan
* System alerts (temperature over thresholds or major component failures)

When a new event occurs, the severity of the new event will flash. When user sees a flashing icon should check the system status according to the new event description.

The Event Log viewpanel provides two handy tools for users to better organize and keep track of past events:

To toggle the system log reorganizing tools, Right click to display the command menu.

Export All Logs to a Text File: This allows you to save a simple "text" record of past events onto your system drive.

Event Log Filter Option: This opens a configuration panel that allows you to reorganize the event list display.

The Filter panel allows you to organize and to sort events by its details. You may also deselect some unwanted events, select the level of severity of events to display, and narrow down the display list to those happened during a specific period of time.

The Columns panel allows you to select/deselect the event log display details. The details include:
* The event index
* The event severity
* The event type
* The time of occurrence

Event Log Clear Option: Through here you can select to Clear All Logs or Clear Logs Preceding Index X, where "X" is the event you selected by a left-click. Please be careful when deleting the existing events. Once deleted, they cannot be retrieved unless you have previously saved the event list.
