sorthl

A Perl program to sort the items in a Mosaic hotlist file.

Usage

sorthl is invoked from a Unix shell, with the following syntax:

% sorthl [-strip] [-help] filename

sorthl sorts the hotlist items in filename and copies the original hotlist file to filename.org. The items are sorted by the titles of the URLs. The sort is case-insensitive and leading "The", "A", or "An" words are ignored during the sort.

The following options are available to sorthl:

-strip
Strip off leading "The", "A", or "An" words from the titles.
-help
A short usage message on sorthl.

sorthl will read from STDIN if filename is not specified. If so, the sorted hotlist will be outputed to STDOUT.
